Surrogate Compensation
Surrogates are compensated for their time, discomfort, and the medical risks they undertake during the pregnancy and delivery. You will also receive additional compensation for any additional medical procedures you undergo. In addition to your compensation, you will also be reimbursed for any out-of-pocket expenses incurred in carrying out your responsibilities as a surrogate, which may include co-pays, mileage, lost wages, etc.

The intended parents will also be responsible for paying for your legal fees, child care expenses and lost wages necessary to carry out your surrogate responsibilities, life insurance, disability insurance, health insurance, all medical expenses and all fees and expenses associated with the screenings.
Base Compensation – $35,000 ($40,000 if you have been a surrogate before)
- $1,000 upon embryo transfer
- $1,000 upon pregnancy
- $4,125 per month for months 1-8 ($4,750 for experienced surrogates)
- $5,000 per multiple (twins or triplets)
Maternity clothes – $1,000
Parking, Mileage, Prenatal Vitamins – $100 per month
Compensation for Medical Procedures:
- Additional embryo transfer – $1,000
- Mock cycle – $500
- Cancelled cycle – $500
- Amniocentesis (per incident) – $500
- Chorionic villus sampling (per incident) – $500
- Cervical cerclage – $500
- Chemical ectopic pregnancy – $250
- Surgical ectopic pregnancy – $1,000
- Dilation and curettage (resulting from miscarriage) – $500
- Selective reduction (in compliance with agreement) – $1,000
- Abortion (in compliance with agreement) – $2,000
- C-section – $2,500
- Loss of ovary – $2,000 each
- Loss of fallopian tube – $2,000 each
- Loss of uterus – $5,000
Breast Milk – $200 per week plus cost of shipping, equipment, and supplies
